Get Lost

Reefs, walls, wrecks – it is all there waiting for you to discover.

According to the website of Art Pickering’s Provo Turtle Divers http://www.provoturtledivers.com/Scuba.html ,

“Providenciales and West Caicos offer some of the best diving in the western hemisphere. With low rainfall and consistant oceanic currents, our dive sites feature some of the clearest blue water in the world. Our reefs and walls are among the best in the region and the abundance and variety of marine life is legendary.”

Janet went diving with PTD Provo Turtle Diversin Feb 2006 and was delighted with the professionalism, thorough briefings and personalities of everyone involved. This group has dive boats located on both the north and south coast of the main island of Provindenciales (Provo), so regardless of wind direction, they are able to offer dives most days. The store is under new management (as of sometime in 2005 I think) and the difference is obvious.
Janet has also been on several dives with Flamingo Divers, http://www.flamingodivers.com. Their boat is in the sheltered bay on the south coast of Provo, so the frequent north winds cause no problems for their operations. Flamingo Divers LogoFrench cay and West Caicos are home to many of their favourite sites, and will not disappoint the beginner or the experienced diver.
Janet recommends both dive operations – safe, fun and GREAT diving!

OH- If you aren’t a diver, or travel with someone who is not, be warned. The beaches in the Turks and Caicos Islands are addictive. Spectacular powdery white sand covers most of the coastline of the island, making the beaches perfect for walking, jogging, wading or lazing in the warm sunshine. Enjoy.
